The Giants not only lost their fifth game in as many weeks, but they lost their best playmaker, too. Yes, Odell Beckham Jr. suffered a fractured ankle and had to be carted off the field. (For a guy who is known for making incredible catches, OBJ just can't catch a break.) It hasn't been announced how long he'll be out, but we can't imagine him rushing back to a team that sports an 0-5 record.
Houston can relate, as it saw its best playmaker, albeit on the defensive side, leave with a gruesome injury. JJ Watt, he of the extraordinary fundraising efforts, suffered a tibial plateau fracture and will miss the remainder of the season. A surgery-requiring back injury ended Watt's season after three games last year. Somebody get this man some Gatorade, please!
